Story behind the painting (Part 16)
Dayang posing for the Photshop workshop participants. Pustaka, Miri, 9 .10.12. |
Portrait of Dayang in watercolour, 20 cm x 29 cm. |
I remember her name was Dayang. It was on the 9th of October 2012 when I drove to Miri for a one day trip. The mission was to attend a Photoshop workshop at Pustaka, Miri. As part of the workshop a photoshoot session was held where Dayang agreed to pose as model. A few days later in Bintulu, I was inspired to paint her in a self-portrait study using watercolour as medium. The above piece is the outcome of the inspiration and artwork.
