Story behind the sketches (Part 2) - Self-Portraits of 1974

 

As a young man in 1974 , aged about 23 years, I had my share of anxiety and uncertainty. These life circumstances are part of my growing up. At 23, I did not even have a girlfriend and and the future still ambiguous. I expressed then my feelings and moods in pen and ink sketches. Though these are small sized works ( 20 cm x 15 cm) they are a treasured lot for me as an expression of the times I had to endure and ride successfully.
