Story behind the painting (Part 15) - Doors of Life, 1981.

 

In 1974, I wrote a short poem called 'Doors of Life' which reads:

The doors of life are always open

But it is to open our mind and heart

To be self-conscious of Life and Existence

that remains a task.

Then in 1981, I decided to make a painting in mixed-media (Crayon and Water colour) to illustrate the poem. What came out was a semi-abstract piece.  The painting was done in time for my Ist SOLO  art exhibtion held at the Sarawak Museum in October that year to celebrate my 30th birthday.
